New Year's Poem 2004

Considerations for the New Year

This is a time of potent darkness and light coming together. To the peaceful mind, it holds much joy and growth, to the chaotic much grief and destructiveness. Whatever may appear to the beholder; this time holds a great potential for us all, if we trust our steps and abilities, and the mysterious makings of this world in and beyond our control.

When you go beyond those fears and insecurities that keep you from being who you truly are, and when you find the courage to venture out there where the two sides of existence meet, you can start to heal yourself and the world. If you are afraid, meditate on your fear, and you will soon find that rather than being an obstacle, it is a springboard for you to move further onto your journey.

In shedding your perceptions of what is possible, you’ll find the best source of wisdom and the safest place of reality is always deeper within, no matter where you find yourself in the physical realm. Within you hold the answers to the world of matter and power, love and compassion, imagination and beauty. Within is the mirror of who you are and what you are here to be. From within you live your life.

Wake, and explore the gifts and dreams you have been given. The world offers you exactly what you imagine it can offer you. If you keep your heart open, there will always be a light burning for you, a helping hand, someone there to guard you.

And remember that we are all in it together, a complex union of all kinds of energies. Nothing is separate from you. If you send out your love and peace, it will spread seeds into corners you never thought were possible to be reached, and some time the seeds will grow and spread more seeds.
